      Good morning,

I hope I have come to the right place and I'm not going to offend anyone by asking questions.

My late father was a model enthusiast but latterly he bought but did not build. I therefore have some boats (unbuilt) that need a good home. Happy to supply photos if necessary.

I wonder if the forum is a good place to advertise the boats below and would value advice about how to go about it/value etc.

      I have the following models:

      1. A Billings Banckert 510 with a 511 fittings kit. The ship box is a little tattered but it all appears to be there.

      2. An Aeronaut Diva – appears to have all the parts and in a good box.

3.A Precedent Faery huntsman 31 – Not sure if all the parts are there.

      4. Two skeleton hulls origin unknown.

      Thanks for your time

      Chris

          Hi Chris,

As you will see from the topic heading we only encourage sales here from established posters.

Your best bet would be to put the models on eBay as that is where most people will look for this sort of thing. You can get some idea of prices by soing a serach on model boats or radio controlled model boats.

You can see prices of unmade kits still in production and you would need to price yours accordingly. The Precedent Huntsman is a very old kit and might attract interest but sometime the material in these old models will have deteriorated such as delaminated plywood for example.

Unless they have particular rarity value, model boats generally do not fetch high prices. The Diva and Bankert are both still in production.

          Colin

you will also find sites on facebook for selling model boats, but beware, people on facebook sites are always wanting a rock bottom price, and so, as Colin states, Ebay would be your best bet.
