Hi Ron, and welcome to the forum. Unlikely anyone will have a Dido for sale, and it may be that you could make one yourself. There are a few easy plans out there and I am sure that Glynn Guest must have done one in the past. glynn’s plans are very easy and with minimal effort should give you a reasonable representation of the ship.

It depends really on the level of detail you require, but likely your dad will mentally fill in the details on even a simple model. Just pay attention to the paintwork.

Hi there – G Guest did do a set of plans for HMS Dido, the cruiser, and they are basically a stand off model which obviously could have detail added to as Ashley has suggested. Here is the plan number – from Sarik hobbies – this is the plan number MM1278. If you want a detailed plan Norman A Ough did a set way back in the 50s – 60s and his plans are regarded as pretty good, I know the plans are held by Brunel Institute whether they sell them I am unsure.

Hi Ron, it might be worth asking the same question on the surface model warship site.
