I took Dunlin out for a sail yesterday- lovely autumn day, great company (my mrs) and a magical day all round. She took the photos.

Dunlin is a Harold Underhill designed river service launch planked in mahogany on ply frames. She weighs 25lb but goes very well with a two inch prop and an MFA 6:1 geared 500 running from a 12v 7ah gel cell- I”ve never run it out..

These motors are great once you can tame the noise. I”ve just put one in another boat and had to resort to wrapping the motor in tin foil-as well as the usual three capacitors- hope it doesn”t get too hot.
