Hi Vinnie

After my petulant throwing of toys, for which Jane has chastised me for, I am not too proud to say that the site is getting to be better than the previous version and that I was wrong to be so negative.

One thing that I did find very useful on the old version was the spell checker, is there any possibility that the same facility could be added to this version?

I`ve had to start a new album “JDAW” for “Jeanie Deans at war”, as the old album was not responding.

Having trouble with the new album also………….the system says………”can`t be found”

Will somebody have a look at JDAW and report back please?

I cant find JDAW but I don’t know how to search the album section I cant find my barrel back or TID albums but I suspect that I have missed something when doing the postings.

You,ve given away my secret about how I find all the big words for my postings. I just use the clever word section on microsoft office

When I try to post a new photo…………….the only option that shows, is a full list of pictures already in the gallery?

ie…………Won`t accept any pics from the PC?

Any ideas?

I`ve erased… “JDAW”…..and started again and this time all is well!

Well that`s a relief………………I was beginning to think I`d got a virus!

Yes I am very pleased with the photos and I have to say that the sites new format allows for larger and more detailed images so well done the tech guys. I’ve just spent quarter of an hour adding the photo discriptions.

Whats the plan for WW2 JD today?

We`ve been thru the war, old Son………….Up to our neck in muck `n bullets…………..No telly in those days!……………….So we had to do something?…….While we listened to Tommy Handley or Dick Barton!……………….or Paul Temple……………..or!!!!!………..Valentine Dial telling his ghost stories!!!!!………………..He frighted us kids summat rotten!

We liked ……”Whip and Top”…with chalk patterns on top face…………..When you think about it………How does a whip keep a top spinning?

Hoops were for Sissies!…………..We used car tyres!………………Model boats?……Na!………We made “Airers” with lacky bands!…………..Keilkraft Achilles was our best flyer………………..Boats didn`t appear till about 1991…………before that it was RC planes and coal fired locos

Does all this sound familiar?

Try inserting images now. It’s working beautifully as long as you’re not using a steam-driven PC. (We’ve made some changes. )

It seems you can only post JPEGs.

After uploading new images it takes a few minutes before you can go back to edit or delete.That was the case before.

Well 24Hours later I still cant View My Album with an Action Man in a Springer Tug can you view it???. It is shown as a Album and I can add or delete. should I click the Public box?.

Sounds like you think that’s my fault .

I’ve got my own problems with the changeover.- no more reply notifications.

I think once an album is public it can’t be undone and if a picture does not appear pronto then it has not loaded and will never will.

I’ve been uploading pictures just to see what the drama is all about.

I uploaded 640 x 480 size jpegs………OK

I can’t view a private album unless logged on…..OK

I’ve later deleted pics in an album and they then disappear from a post……..OK

GIFs are no longer accepted but that is the rule now.

I only block popups from my browser (not windows or my firewall) so popups from this URL works.

I made a test album public and I can’t undo that.I can only delete the album making a forum post meaningless.

I see Vinnie has made a test album of toy soldiers so he may rightly have inserted earplugs.
