      Hi All

I visited this shop today near Tower Bridge.

I have to say that it is an Aladdin's Cave for materials for our hobby. Literally everything you could possible need in material terms including wood in all its forms and sizes, brass, foam, copper, aluminium, casting stuff, tools, figures, etched bits and pieces etc., etc.

I bought 500ml of liquid poly glue for £10.20, some 36 inch long styrene strip fro rubbing strakes, glues, other 'normal' Evergreen packs and some other items.

They are suppliers to the architectural trade, but apart from no r/c stuff have everything a traditional model shop used to have, and much more. Prices are no different from other sources – near enough.

Worth a visit if you are in London (and nice helpful people), or you can buy online.

It's the only place I have found to get tee section brass strip in sizes big enough for model yacht shroud plates (6 mm x 6 mm). I found it on the web on Ashley's recommendation, never visited the shop though..

I have used this company for mail order, and can confirm they are very quick, and well packaged.

I have been there quite a few times, and it really is an Aladdin's cave. To be able to see and feel the materials in your grubby hand is worth just so much, rather than buy something you think you want over `t internet.

More than a few times I have been there with a list and come away with either different materials, or stuff of different sizes. They also do Styrofoam, which is expensive to mail order due to the bulk of it, and as I am easily within train reach of London, handy to stock up on all the materials needed for a project.

It's an old favourite of mine – I remember when it was situated up at the Angel, which must be 10 years ago or more…
