Hi Colin There was a TV program on this but it was rather fleeting and the U-tube screening seems to be better . it is as you say mindblowing . Intermodelbau Dortmund is similar when it comes to the rail road displays but of course all the displays there are organized separately . Tthe skill of the model makers is fantastic , makes my old Hornby days seem in the dark ages. They show you at Intermodelbau just how they build the roadways featured in the U-tube screening so as the vehicles drive as if they where being steered. I would just love to visit Hamburg and see the big one for myself.

              Hi All.

We went there late last year, It is very large place with a lot of wonderful displays and the airport deserves special mention with a fully working airport. The planes moving around, docking and taking off. Also the push trucks moving the planes and all the other airport vehicles. The harbour area with real water perhaps 24" deep. With 48" long ships which move up and down the channel. All done by remote control and its very life like. The railways are Wow. With night time scene coming up every 15mins. All the houses are lit up. A very impressive Place. You need about 6 hours to see it all.

Also to think about is the Maritime Museum Hamburg a short walk away which a good place as well.

              Prentice.
