For several months now, I've been puzzled by something on the forum display

I wa hoping that the answer would dawn on me eventually, but it hasn't clicked with me

Question…….Why are some of the headings of the threads coloured blue?

The answer is probably obvious, but it's got me stumped!

      Bob

I think you will find that the blue headings are those where there has been a new post since you last looked at the topic Bob.

Next question…..Why are some Topics coloured blue?

            Feeling thick today

For the same reason, a post has been made to that topic you have not read, I think this only changes if you go direct from the topic thread.

                Hi Bob A,

Leave Colin alone! I have PM'd him to death over the quirks on this site. He's always replied in a most courteous manner but he's the editor of that what we put in, not the site designer. Somewhere there is a Geek to whom we would all like to demonstrate the alternative use of a base ball bat. It ain't Colin!

I'm trying to work out how to post text, a picture, text, a picture etc so my posts read well. Not got there yet but now treat the matter as a logic game with humour rather than frustration. Classic illustration of a quirk, apparently I've spelt humour wrong (and indeed spelt when the spell check is looking for spelled )! I'm of that age when mi brain could just be loosing it a little bit and worry when it flags up a 'miss spelled ' word. Why don't we just tell everybody it's an American spell check?

A good thread to start would be " Site Solutions" where someone has worked out the quirk and has the answer. I'm sure Colin would make sure there are only positive useful comments. Thinking about it, might do so myself.

                Len.

Nah, let `em work it out.

It separates the new boys from the old boys (but not the VERY old boys)

                    Hi Ashley,

Force 9 on my chuckle meter!

                    Len.
