Is there any point in putting a model for sale on the site, and then not answering a pm when sent regarding that model, or filling your profile in so that others can find the information put on those pm’s.

I know that people go away to work and are away from their computers but access to such web pages can and is made from mobiles, and if you put an add on for sale and then can’t be bothered following up requests for info, is there any point in putting those adds on in the first place.

Makes you wonder whether the blase’ attitude will manifest when actually travelling to the vendors home to pick it up….will they actually be bothered to wait in for you!!!

Very frustrating for those interested!!!!!

Sadly, no there isn’t! Not here, or anywhere else!

International communications collapsed years ago as far as I am concerned.

I really wonder who these folk are talking to when they wander around the streets with mobiles clapped to their ears.

If I try to phone anyone, it is usally a case of:

Press 1 if…. Press 2 if…. Press 3 if……

Your call is important to use, please hang on until someone is free to disconnect you! (joke)!

Please leave a message & we will get back to you. Followed by the obligatory quavering music. Then the evarlasting silence!

Even when I am trying to buy quite expensive items, I seldom get a reply!

If I ask more than one question, and they do condescend to reply, they usually only seem capable of answering the first one!

This is one of the reasons why we are not a world power any more!

Life is full of little frustrations I agree but, on the whole I think we are very lucky. The vast majority of us have shelter, clothing and food. Lots of us have spare cash and time to indulge in, let’s face it, fairly unimportant activities like model boating- we are living longer and on the whole we are healthier- and we don’t send children up chimneys any more.

Altogether now…..Always look on the bright side of life …….

Yes, lots of little frustrations and we have to put up with them, but I really don’t understand why large numbers of individuals or business firms make a point of “going silent” even if we want to buy something off them!

Living Longer,

Those born in 1911 or earlier are definately living longer, but I don’t think those born in recent years will have such a great lifespan. Too much pollution these days. Only difference is that nowadays, it is invisible, in the food, in the air, in the land, in the sea!

Here in Germany you will make an appointment for someone to call, and they just do not arrive, no apology, and if you call them to ask why, you will be told ” Oh, we were busy” No sorry, nothing! Our neighbour called 4 local firms of Roofers for an estimate for a new roof. 2 never replied, one came a day late, the other said they couldn’t come till next year. She finally got a Polish Firm, called the next day, she got a written Estimate 2 days later and the job was done, on time and super efficient, You can rely on a German Firm? Rubbish, they are over priced and Top Heavy with Management, no Indians everyone is a Chief.Wait until you have to enjoy the experience of your Railways being run by DB, they do not class a train as late until it is 15 minutes late, then it is Delayed, late is 40 minutes, Nice eh!!??
