I find it very interesting that the Roya Navy repeat ships names ,by this i mean Hms Crofton and Hms Roebuck . The latter of the two Hms Croton was a minesweeper in the late 50’s early 60’s this i know as my father was serving on board as a Cheif P.O.(M.E.) and on the Roebuck (not sure of his rate possibly a stoker) .

How would i get in touch with the commanding officers of these ships ?? Just adress it to the commading officer of hms ??? c/o bfpo ships and hope it get there ???

Any suggestons please as Dad is now in his 80’s and the old grey matter aint what it used to be .

The current (August) edition of Model Boats carries a photo feature on the latest HMS Roebuck by Dave Wooley.

There is a Forces Reunited site for both ships( inclding earlier ones)
