I`m getting a bit fed up now!……………Are other people out there getting this nonsense?

            Hi Bob

The password means that someone else (like me) cant log onto your little bit of this site and make crazy claims on your behalf………

                Hello Chaps

Just realised what causes the system to ask for my Password!…………………

……………………By opening a second Modelboats website!

                Silly me………………………Silly you!

                    Bob,

It might be something to do with opening a second window on the website. You are currently showing up as having two logins! Maybe one has not logged out properly and the system is becoming confused! Something similar happened to me when I tried to run one session as administrator and another as member emulation. It may be to do with the fact that the system tracks your email address across all sites in the magazine group and treats you as one ID. I also wonder if it might be associated with your missing pictures. The Technical Support guy suggests you delete and repost the pictures as he hasn’t got the time at the moment to really get into the problem. I have however asked him to comment on your login problems. Alternatively – do you have a split personality?

                      Hello Colin…………………I do have a twin brother!………….lol

I could have two passwords,………………..I might even have three!…………and I`ve noticed some peculierarities regarding the password on several occasions.

I can log out now…………………but I could be still logged in on another password????

                      What a tricky situation?

I`ll log out and come back in, if I can on, an early password?

Goodbye Fellas!…………………See you all in cyberspace?

Sorry Bob, that was my fault! Fiddling with the settings and must have logged you out inadvertently.

                                  Bob,
Our Tech Support thinks that the difficulties you are experiencing may be somehow associated with your computer setup otherwise we would be getting lots of other people with the same problem. If you post details of your setup on here maybe somebody would have some ideas at to what is at the root of the problem.

                                                      Bob I get logged out too……after ages,though.

Since I used Firefox I no longer had to add sites to the anti-spyware trusted zones.Firefox seems to both ring fence websites from clearing my cookies and stop my anti-spyware prog zapping them as spyware.

I wonder if the next time you have a login problem you use the Tools>Clear private data ( or Control+shift+delete) and make sure that erases old unwanted cookies by going to Tools>Options>Private data>settings
tick cookies & cache and untick saved passwords
I doubt that old modelboats cookies are a problem but the above measure wipes the slate clean.

3-rd party cookies setting is not relevant  in Model Boats

I only temporarily permit third party cookies when I  visit a new site and 3rd party cookies need to be allowed (i.e. hotmail uses live.com) .I would then enter the 3rd party site in the exceptions list to allow cookies from that site and then I switch 3rd party setting back to off.
