Final Countdown to the International Model Boat Show – Ready To Set Sail

It’s the final countdown to the launch of the 2016 International Model Boat Show which will take place from Friday 11th to Sunday 13th November at the Warwickshire Exhibition Centre.

Over 3,000 visitors are expected to attend the show and enjoy over 600 models on the club and society displays. Over 20 of the leading specialist suppliers will also be present.

Organisers are again seeking individual exhibitors who are not part of a club or society display but who have a marvellous model to show. All models which form part of “Steve’s Top 10” are amazing models in either detail and/or size. There are just a few spaces left so if you have a model of interest please contact the organisers at [email protected]

Exhibition Manager, Avril Spence said “We are looking forward to welcoming our visitors to one of the UK’s leading marine modelling exhibitions the show this year. Along with all the normal attractions and suppliers for visitors to enjoy and meet the opportunity to see the “Top 10” is one that should not be missed!"

As always the large indoor boating pool will be in full use as all the club members sail their models for the visitor’s enjoyment. Some clubs demonstrate as a group such as the RNLI with commentary which visitors find is really interactive and enjoyable. The Surface Warship Association will again lead a poignant sailing tribute at the poolside during the two minutes silence on Remembrance Day.

For younger visitors there will be ‘children’s sailing’ on the pool for their own experience of remote control boating.

As the ONLY 3 day marine modelling exhibition dedicated to all aspects of marine modelling this is an event not to be missed – book your tickets NOW

The link above is not quite correct as there should not be a full stop after uk. It's not Colin's fault as the mistake is also on the exhibition website.

The reason I know is I have offered to take Shemarah II, in addition to several other models we had planned to be exhibiting over the weekend. Leave the final full stop off and the link works.

Thanks for that Gareth – I have fixed it now.
