Just returned from the IPMS International in Telford .It was a truly fantastic experience with . thousands of models and hundreds of vendors from all over the world , and that is no exaggeration and I am worn out just trying to see what was on offer ,I have the sore feet to prove it. There where hundreds of ship models of all differing types , kit ,semi scratch and scratch in all scales including a massive 1:72nd Iowa class battleship . The big names of the Trade ,Airfix, Revell , and Italieri had massive stands showing their new releases and hopefuls for the future .

Airfix with their HMS Queen Elizabeth , maybe?

New from Italeri the Vosper MTB 74 due for release next week .

For R/c the long awaited Ready to Run Fletcher class destroyer at 1:72nd scale from Aquacraft models.

Hi Tony I agree the IPMS scene is vibrant with a good impute from the trade which in genuinely international . Telford show generates plenty of interest but more importantly has a good generational base with companies like Airfix nurturing an interest in model making with large workshops at the show catering for hundreds of youngsters. The show attracts around 25000 visitors of all age groups with many overseas clubs attending . All of this has a knock on effect which really does make the show buzz with activity .
