Dear Sir,
I noticed that one of your exhibitors at this show was a gentleman by the name of Bob Lles who had displayed a model of the HMS Welshman. I was wondering whether I could obtain information on why he chose this ship to model and wether he is aware of the ‘ HMS Welshman’ Association which meets annually on the aniversary of its sinking. This is held at St Georges Chapel in Chatham Naval Dockyard on the 1st February every year and a short service is held at 13.00 hours at the excact time of its sinking. Most years virtually all the survivors of the ships company attend (although that is getting less and less each year) along with their families. There are now around 60 – 80 people who attend each year. It would be nice if it was possible to even get the model of this ship to attend as well. What would the chances of getting in contact with him to explore the possibility?
Hope you can help at fairly short notice, many thanks in advance
Ken Bedwell
