Hi Has anyone tried using this steam engine. I thought it could be used on the affordable steam project in May 2017 issue.

Hi Peter. Welcome to the forum, belatedly.

Due to the lack of posts but number of views I would imagine that no one has used said steam plant and cannot make comment.

There may be other forums out there more steam related.

I dare say the engine would power a boat, but it will not be very powerful, however on a calm surface and a lightweight boat it is likely to potter about OK>

You will see when you get to the end of the Affordable Steam series that the boiler and engine used are only just enough to propel the Anna hull. Based on that I would suggest that the steam plant identified above would be of insufficient capacity and power to be suitable.
