Sorry if I’m in the wrong place on the forum! I’m most of the way through a major build of the ‘Branksome’ (the one featured in ‘reader’s models’ in the February 2012 issue). My Reeves Marcher steam engine and its boiler are now pretty much fettled but I need some bits and request help with recommendations of suppliers. I’m a neophyte to steam, so please indulge me…… I need:

1) a 1/4 turn steam throttle valve suitable for a servo

2) a set of wrenches for BA # 7 and thereabouts nuts and bolts

3) A supplier for spare #7 BA and thereabouts nuts and bolts

4) assorted ferrules and the other part for piping.

5) A new ceramic burner element to fit my old press-fit one on the boiler

6) silver solder and the appropriate flux

This kind of stuff isn’t easily available in Canada. I’d be most grateful if you experts could steer me toward suppliers who can send them to me.

Here’s a Michigan source for wrenches. I’ve had to use UK sources for most of my bits and pieces.

Thanks for that. I’ll check it out. Meantime, anyone else with sage advice…..?
