Has anyone built a HMT from scratch? I would like to build HMT Beryl, a Hull built steam side trawler converted in 1939 and served in the Med. After a trawl (forgive the pun) of the net and looking at dozens of pictures, I think that the hull shape provided by 'St Elmo (MM1207)' would fit the requirements and probably the basic deck up layouts will also serve as a starting point. I have some good photos of the forward gun mount modification as well as the depth charge racks at the rear but maor research is needed for fine detail! Any shared hints, tips or photos would be most appreciated, Thanks
