        Hi all,

        Does anyone know the name of a person or firm who is in the business of making custom window frames? Such as the windows on the RNLI model and others.

        I need eleven windows for my tug model in 1/2 inch scale.

          I've seen some styrene window frames on ebay but can't remember the seller-might have been MMB. I think you can have them made to your spec. I think I saved the seller so will check, but you may want something more substantial. There's a good article on moulding in resin in the Winter Special-and as one who has cast figures from silicone moulds in the past, I can confirm it's not that difficult.

            I've been trying a method using HO railroad track. I heat the track to anneal it, and then bend to the shape of the windows using pliers.

            It has not been producing windows that are quite as good as I would like, so I am posting here to see if there might be some other ideas around…or maybe I could find someone (or a firm) who might make my windows for me.
