      Greetings one and all,

I recently had a request from a colleague as to whether there was/is a kit or at least the plans available for the MV Pharos (10). I know there is a waterline card kit for this vessel, but my friend wants one built at about a metre in size, so about 1:64 or there abouts. I've searched some of the obvious places for plans and kits but even the interweb comes up blank.

Does anyone know if a kit has been produced for her?

Does anyone know where I should try and get plans so I could start a scratch sttempt (or find someone willing to take it on).

Have any good suggestions for me?

      Thanks all, Kimosubby

the only suggestion I can make ( as I doubt whether a kit was ever made of her) is to contact the builders ( if Known) and if not known contact the Northern Lighthouses board **LINK**

which is the equivelant of Trinity house who would have owned her and ask whether they have plans or not.

              Hi Neil,

thanks for the information and the links. Yes "Martin" has built a fine model of Pharos, but his is of Pharos 9 and I want Pharos 10, launched in 2006 and is the sister ship to the Galatea (Trinity House).

As a point of interest, we get to see both vessels here in the Isle of Man, as Northern Lights are resposible for our Whitstone Bank cardinal buoy at the Manx Point of Air, and every thing South comes under Trinity House!

I'll contact Northern lights and see what pertains, and keep you informed too.

              Thanks again, Kimosubby.
