      Hi,
I have a steam engine which due to ae restrictions cannot use fuel oil to power it. I have an idea to build a gas carrier that will store compressed air and power the steam engine via a regulator at the prescribed pressure. This can be recharged via a compressor powered from my car. Any ideas on what I can use to store the compressed air (soda syphon may be) and any idea of aplan I can use, otherwise I will scratch build.

      Many Thanks In anticipation.

      Regards

          Hi John,
          Thought of useing gas?(Propane/butane mix)
Or buy a small (cheap) compressor powered by a 12volt suply, or 240v mains eles or even petrol
Do you intend to use it in a boat or anything?
If it’s in a model, you will need a fairly big bottle of compressed air to get any run-time.
