        Hi
        This is my first attempt in a Forum.
        I have just read an article in Feb 1980 edition of Model Boats which was left on the table at our Engineering club.
        I have so far scratch built a 1/20th scale model of the P.S. ADELAIDE (4ft long) which is the oldest working steam driven wooden paddle steamer in the world.
        It was raised and restored and is now used for tourism trips at Echuca on the River Murray.
        I was very impressed with the article by A. D. BOYD in Model Boats 1980 Vol 30 No: 348 on page 100 relating to the T.K. PERKASA Torpedo patrol boat and I want to build one myself.
        As I live at Murray Bridge in Adelaide Australia, and A. D. BOYD is also an Australian, I would very much like to make contact with him, or his relations, to exchange ideas with him and to get to see his model if at all possible.
        Or any other info on the subject.

            I tried to Reply to your email but it wouldn’t work, I’ll try again in the Forum, I tried before but I lost the post before I sent it I think.

            Thanks for info I will look at it.

            I keep my photos in my own files not in the computers albums and couldn’t see how to browse my desktop so I put in my file title, ie: Adelaide Steaming.jpg.
            Anyway (see pic below, 20th scale,4ft long, steam powered, fully planked hull & superstructure, weight 18kg)
             

            Also I didn’t want the Thread to be “K.D. PERKASA-Article etc” its to long, that was the Description, but it should be Scratch Built Boats, or the likes.
            Can I change it.???????
