Hope someone can help me. I am looking for the plan for the Thames barge Kitty. It was a freebie in , I believe, the April ’99 Magazine. I have searched the plans list without sucess. Can anyone help me? I have a copy of the Article but need the plans. I am more than ready to pay postage and any costs involved.J.

Yes Model Boats vol49; No:581 2 Apr-29Apr 1999. Kitty an easy build Thames Barge for R/c. Stuck to front of mag in plastic bag.

I believe you can obtain back copies from Model Boats who I assume hold the copywright.

I believe I have a copy of the plans in my attic workshop, I’ll look tomorrow when the boss is out shopping and let you know. If they are there you can have them.

would you “Adam and Eve” the boss just went to the shops for milk; I nipped up to look; you are in luck I have the very set of plans (1 sheet, two sides) as mentioned by Dave M above (581). If you want them sending, contact me by e. with your address – no charge – I’ll send them in a tube acceptable to your PO as well.

I’m an AMBO member and am building my second barge, Lady Daphne, from scratch from plans supplied by Brown, Ferguson and ? of Glasgow, drawn up by H Underhill.

My first barge was “Celia Jane” by Metcalf.

The atavar is the “Theresa Mary” (the Celia Jane renamed after the Boss!)

Thankyou so much! I was at Mote Park in September and saw a fleet of barges, they looked so good! I chatted with several guys there and helped one who was haveing trouble with his Planet 5 Radio, All in all a very pleasant morning. The British Club scene is so much more friendly than what I have experienced here in Germany.I look forward to getting the plans after Xmas. Have a good one and a happy New Year. James

if you know nothing else about the Isle of man, you should know these three things, our famous kippers, our infamous cats with no tail and the TT m’cycle races. The bikes are with us usually about the first 2 weeks in June – thousands of them from all around the world. As we like them (I used to race m’cycles in the 70’s) we stay here and watch all the antics both on the course (37 miles long) and about the Island as they enjoy themselves.

As I say, we have them for a fortnight, which sometimes starts the last week in May, its something to do with the lunar month for the selection of “mad sunday”.

I like to sail my boats on our local lake and meet many interested bikers that way. You really have to go with the flow during that fortnight.
