Thx Dave, Lb run’s beautifully, but still need’s approx. 4 to 5kg of ballast towards stern.
She has a very nice prototypical lean when turning and even in the gusty conditions was able 2 do full power turns without trouble!
USS Albany is going 2 be a long term build (a slow build as finance’s permit and I want her 2 be really easy 2 launch with water ballast rather than lugging 40kg’s of lead).
I have drawn up plans for a CGN-36 USS California 2 join USS Long Beach as she will be a bit more transportable, I hope 2 have her ready by Dec for the TF72 Regatta ( as my secret project!) If all goes according 2 plan (which is rare) LB should be mostly done apart from minor stuff (like nearly 6.3m of brass railing around main deck!!) And California should be running with superstructure!!
Cheers from OZ, Bruce
