I was rummaging about today, upstairs in the roof recess………searching for an Action Man wooly jumper……..for my Slo Mo driver………When I discovered this extra large Sherman tank!

I made it about 35 years ago for my son who was Action Man mad and had just watched the original “Kelly`s Hero`s” film

Happy Day`s!………..Dad

Wow, thats a whopper. Great model for an action man. He must haved loved that!

But wheres the rust ???

You could make it the basis for a duplex drive floating tank………..for when you have finished Slomo

That`s a good idea, Ashley……..A Duplex tank!……….As used in Normandy….Hmmmmm?

So the post is not really off topic now!

It would take a lot of ballast!

Did they use props?

There yer go!……..Duplex tanks crossing the Rhine!

It`s really amazing that such a little canvas skirt can float a 12 ton tank!

yes the Shermans were fitted with 2 props for going thru the water

Why not build a landing craft … use the plans from the LCT 6 in Model Boat Magazine, but if you are going to attack another nation … please can I be on your side … LOL

The Sherman is now back in the roof for another….35 years!

Can you imagine the size of the landing craft?……..Would be great fun

I`m rapidly running out of building room now……….`till something catches my eye!

I fancy a big Thames Barge,,,,,,,,,Mmmmm?……..A possibility?
