Les. Its odd, your post is perhaps the 3rd or 4th most viewed post of recent weeks and there are no replies yet! I think you should take it as a no. I have no suggestions either!    I just sulk if no one bothers to reply to anything i post…. Ashley

One way to go, into which I was forced after I bought a kit and discovered it was too small for my purpose, is the buy the kit and then use the bits to give you the shape of the bulkheads and stem/keel etc. I placed them on my flatbed copier and used my computer to double up the size.

I note there are two fishingboat kits, one by a French outfit of which I dont have a name except the story was in MB* ….Le Maraouin .. and the other is an Artensia Latina Hellen Kit

I guess that both are carvel planked so it would be up to you to clinker plank them.

*My index relates to our Club Library numbering system so short of going across town to the Club I cannot work it out. [Will do that on Thursday].

Further inquiries .. I joined the Wooden Boat Forum and found a discussion about the 27ft Royal navy whaler which I know from close inspection was a clinker craft and double ended.    I met it when I was aSea cadet back around WWII and I know our local branch have one or two .. not sure if they are still in commission.  Anyway the discussion suggested going to the Greenwich Maritime Museum where there a on-line plans.

I’m sorry I forgot to check our club library on Thursday but get to it next week with luck .. they call it Senior Moments when us oldies forget what they crossed the room to get, let alone crossing town

                    Sharp at both ends……Clinker built……..Fishing boat…..Ideal?

                      Hi Les

I remember doing some research 10years ago On a Colin Archer out of Norway

I remember it being very difficult to plans, most of my research was done in the public library where i managed to aquire quite a lot of information sizes, dimensions etc and drew plans from the info gained

unfortunately the been destroyed by an over zealous ex

There was a kit available for the Colin Archer by Billings boats

                      Hope its off some help

                      Chris

Go to Trawler Photos website, there are enough photos on there to glean info from. I’ve made numerous coble models. there are a lot of pics of Yorkshire double Enders , including a lot that I have posted.

Last Thursday when I went to the Club for my weekly lunch I was suprised to see on a table the full sized plans for a double ended fishing boat Eilleen  from the Model Boat plans servbice back in the 1960’s.  This is for a two foor model as opposed to very similar but smaller kit I have seen on the pond.  I told the plans owner that it was funny but I had made a electronic copy from the original Model Maker magazine just the week before … I will leave it to him because he is a better modeller than I am.
