a work mate gave me a model boat book dated 1983 with alcobar 2 in it has any body built said ship and if so any help will be very healpful

I think you might be referring to the Al Khubar, which was subsequently made into a Model Slipways kit. If you search Al Khubar you will find plenty of examples on all of the model boat forums and kit reviews in several magazines.
