The plans required 3mm depron but I was not confident bending around sharp curves so I had the brilliant (not) idea of using 1.5mm.
Your options are either to add rigidity inside (but you don't have access) or outside, by putting on another layer of 1.5mm Depron, cut a bit oversize.
It is a standard technique to create sharp curves by building them in two or three layers of easily-bent material, so you might have planned to do the 3mm as two layers of 1.5mm. I'm not sure why you 'can't increase the thickness of the hull' by adding to the outside – could you tell us?
