      i am getting ready to prime my Joffre grp hull but what do you experts recommend? I have been busy in the last hour trying to get a steer off various sites as well as this one. Preferably I would like a spray applied primer but happy to go with experience on this. Many thanks in advance. PAUL

          Paul. This to some degree depends on what you intend painting it with afterwards.

          For myself, just as a primer, then a Halfords rattle can is good. Then u can use Halfords colours on top. This is no good if you want to use some other make of spray paint though.

          If you intend using an enamel, Humbrol or something then the Halfords will be ok, but do not use if you want to use an acrylic. The word "Acrylic" seems to mean many things to many manufacturers….

            Thank you for the quick response Ashley. I'm happy to go with Halfords for both above and below waterline as a finish. I've read on other posts that crazing and cracking can occur so I wanted to be careful for the substrate. I will be rubbing hull with wet and dry prior as well as degreasing. PAUL
