I have put this in the Begginers section as it is the first unpowered boat I have.

I have recently taken a "Model Boats Panache" out of my loft.

It was built by my father and has the sails with it. As he never got round to adding the radio gear I am stuck as to how to install the radio gear and add the rigging..

Would anyone have the plans / build article for reference ?

      Thanks

Trevor. I am not an expert on saily things (viz the herald!) but others are, so fetch it down on a Sunday and i would imagine one or two chaps will be able to assist. This forum is of course AWASh with sailing expertise …no doubt Colin will pinpoint the exact date for the article and a.n. other member will be able to scan it for you…..

Are there any rigging points on the deck, by the way?

The rudder is just as per normal, Is this present or missing?

          Ashley

Hull is complete with lots of eyelets, sails are complete with sheets (string but will change).

Have also got half of the free plan showing the lines but nothing on the sail servo mounting connecting etc. Will try to "wire" it up as best as I can and see what falls off !

Rudder is in but no tiller arm yet – I need to fix the keel weight on too.

G'day Trevor, re. yacht rigging, Vic Smeed wrote a book on "Radio Controlled Model Boats" & there are a number of references to yachts & rigging. V Smeeds books are so well known I found this one in my local library in this side of the world!!

                Hello Trevor

I would visit the local boating club, with your model and ask questions?

Take a camera and notebook and you'll soon have it sorted

                Bob

                  Hello Trevor

It would help us if you could post a few photos of the model especially some close ups of the deck and any chambers or voids within the main hull.

Alternatively the full plan is available from My Hobby Store for a little over £12 you will find it listed under Panache MM1299

                  Paul
