I am trying to find the building notes that were included in the MM Magazine Sept 1967, for the Starlet MM 1048 if anyone has a copy would it be possible to email me the relevant pages.

Being a beginner I may need these to assist in the building

Hi there Chalky,

I built a Starlet some years ago and still have the booklet on building her.

She sailed beautifully and was my introdution to sailing. Like a fool I later sold her and have regretted it ever silnce.

The notes run to 13 pages, so if you let me have your address I will send you photocopies as I hope to build her again one day and wish to retain my booklet.

You can keep your address confidential if you send it via “Message member” at the bottom of this message. That way I will be the only one to see it.

Hi Rick

I had my first site of a Starlet this weekend. A gorgeous looking boat that sailed beautifully in strong gusting winds. Her keel shape seemed unaffected by pond weed. I have already sent off for the plans but would also very much like a copy of the notes.

I will gladly pay all costs. Please pm me if you can help.

I'm also looking for the building notes of the Starlet sailboat by Vic Smeed.

I have the plans and the short kit from Belair models, but I'd like to have the write-up
from Model Boats that was published in 1966 and 67.

I can pay the cost of photocopying the article and postage for mailing the document.

Thanks for any help in this search.

The building notes from the magazine items were re-printed in the booklet, Simple Model Yachts. Starlet was one of three yachts in the booklet. If you would like a copy please send a pm.

Hello all,

I have a Starlet given me a while back which requires some attention. Complete with sails and mast/spars too, just needs some new 'string' etc and she'd be out on the water.

Would anyone like her? Free? Just reimburse the postage. I don't think I'm going to get around to doing anything with her.

I believe there's an image of her in my albums too.

Send me a PM if interested, first come as they say, and FREE except for the postage.

[It would be possible for it to be collected at Haydock Model Boat Convention or Warwick IMBS too].
