Really good turn of speed Harry. You don't want to hit anything with that weapon at full peltsmiley . Allmost sorry that I gave away my part-built Precedent Perkassa many years ago.

That style of boat never seem to turn in a nicely controlled manner, they seem to flop into turns.

It may be the flattish stern? Ashley

            Hi Lads

YES. the turning is total rubbish.

The real boats they cut the inner motor in the turns for a better turning.

Three props all turning the same way.

As for the stern and hull design the Spearfish would run rings around the PT boats.

Oh well back in my box and carry on with another build.

My first unstarted kit boat !!!!

Seems to me that you need 2 Becker rudders Harry !smiley

Using contra-rotating props may also help a tiny bit. There will be a slight prop-walk effect which tends to drive the stern out of the turn. Innbord motor will need to be stopped.

If using Becker rudders, both motors could probably be running at assimetric speeds, whatever that means.

Less hassel to just start the new project and not stress over things that don't matter. You're not planning to enter any steering competions I suspect.
