      Hi All

A lot of grinding and sanding today.

Poking around with the knife and screw.

driver found lots of white filler just fell out.

Removed a small hand full of nails.

Covered the outside with masking tape and removed the tops off the three small hatches.

Drill out the deck inside these to use as pour holes for fiberglass resin.

Covered around the area with more masking tape and removed the mast.

The fishing board which was on the wrong side popped off and so I removed the other one as well.

Poured in two lots of resin and tip the hull over both sides and to the bow.

      Hopefully the inside is sealed.

Next is to fill the nail holes and a coat of resin over the outside.

        Hi Ye All

Well the cheap Chinese high speed grinder/drill gave up the ghost after five years !!!

The local hardware store had one for $45au and all the bits fit from the old one.

I have removed a lot of steel nails from the boat, but I believe Billings suppled Brass ones.

        So that's a 64 dollar question ???

So the last few days more filling but with fiberglass filler.

Sanding down with 80 grit just to get shape right and remove some high spots.

Cross sanding as well full length sanding as seen on SOS Car Show..

I am going to add a stainless steel strip to the keel bottom.

These are from windscreen wiper blades.

Well Harry, a bit of work has gone in on this one! Sounds like there was more wrong with it than met the eye… sort of thing you only find out after a sailing or two!

              Hi Ashley

              Dead right .

Paint can hide a lot of crap .

That's number five in the fishing boat fleet.
