      Hi, I picked up an Irvine 480 Cobolt motor 12 Turn, still in its wooden box, Ive no idea what sort of application you would use a motor of this kind for, It seems a powerful beast and very High revving. Any Idea what it could be used for.Thanks in Advance,

          1. Sit on it for two years;
          2. Stick it on E-Bay for twice what you paid; then
          3. Buy a decent brushless motor with the proceeds.

          Seriously, Andy, it was most probably for electric flight. Nevertheless you could go back to stage 1.

            I ALSO have a Cobolt motor with adjustable brush timing !! and a comprehensive little booklet /charts . It is about 540 size. I am waiting to try it out on something fast just to see how it goes. But in the end points 2 and 3 will win out.

            Nice wooden box with it.
