I am a fairly experienced if not all that good modeller and am currently building the Krick Sirius. The build itself is fairly straightforward and it is a kit that would put a couple of British manufacturers that I could name to shame. But one thing that has got me totally stumped is the measurements that are given for the large amount of brass tubing included in the kit.

As an example I am trying at the moment to fathom out which piece of tube is to be used for the port vent tube. ( Part number 119 )The parts list describe it as Brass tube 9 x 0, 45 x 45 mm. The starboard side vent tube, part number 120, is described as Brass tube 9 x 0, 45 x 115 mm. Now I have figured out that the last number is the length the tube should be. Mainly because these two tubes are a different length as shown on the plan. But I can not for the life of me work out what the other figures are referring to. None of them seem to bear any relation to any of the tubing that I have measured. Any help would be welcome as there is an awful lot of brass tubing in this kit and unless I can sort out what is what I am in trouble.

The 9 is the outside diameter of the tube and the 0.45 is the wall thiskness of the tube ( all mm of course).

Thanks for that. It makes a bit of sense now as on checking the parts list vitually all of the tubing has 0.45 in the description but I was reading it as 45mm. I also had a look at the German language parts list and on there the correct symbol for outside diameter is printed after the first number.
