Hi i thought i would join the site to get help with any problems i may encounter i am hoping to buy a RAF crash tender in the next week that is in good condition but needs a little work on the fixings etc. One other thing the motor it has fitted is a Metro 61 10 cc engine which i assume is petrol? i was wondering what the possibilities for changing it to an electric motor would be as i think they are cleaner and more importantly quieter and more reliable? any advice regarding motor and esc etc would be greatly appreciated. I live on the wirral and am 40 years young and will hopefully be joining New brighton or Hoylake model boat clubs and getting some run time on one of the lakes soon

          Hello Kriz

It is really a simple job to convert to electric power

I would suggest you trot down to either of the clubs you mention and someone will put you right

It would be nice for you to show us more photos of your model……It looks nice and old!

          Bob

              Looks a nice model

See the recent thread for current brushless motor installations compiled by Ashley Needham

I've got two brushless motors in a 40" speedboat, SloMo
