          Nice find, Captain!

There`s something strangely attractive about the old kits

I once found a Veron C/L Focke Wulfe complete kit a few years ago………A fiver

              Hi Captain

Also found one in South Africa yesterday. Question: would you be so kind to post a picture of the prop. Also did it come with stuffing box or not as both are missing. I only have the rudder. all the other parts seems to be there but I am not quite sure

              Regards

              Arthur

A company called Kitshack produces the modern version of the Veron Kit as a semi-kit.

I am building this with my 10yr old grandson with hopes I can entice him away from his computer & Xbox!

and I wonder if it is a complete replica because the hull construction looks very much the same as mine

                      Yes I think it is.

It is 27" long, and I haven't got round to deciding on motor size as yet.

It is produced as a semi kit by a company called Kitshack. They produce several kits that appear to be copies of the old Veron kits.

If mine turns out half as good as yours I will be happy.

thanks for that comment. i hope to fitting my "skyleader 27 meg" in there soon. that should then complete the nostalgia bit. Ive also got an old macgregor esc (or at least i think it is an esc) which i may fit also. I wont go as far as a taycol motor though, too many sparks for my liking. iff you need any help let me know can post a few more fotos iff you like

Ref suitable motor; Ashley's favourite MFA 540/1 on 7.2v would be just fine, with something like a 35mm x 3-blade scale prop. Avoid SLA batteries – too heavy for this model.
