I traded some boat hulls for my old Sea Commander, but boy, she has had a hard life !!!

At least all my drive line and rudder setup are fit and well.

As for the outside a total strip down except for the stern and adding more to the chine rails at the bow for a more finish look.

A full coat of fibreglass resin to the bottom and sides.

I removed all the windows and hand rails.

A few repairs mainly at the front of the cabin.

A spray filler/undercoat ready for paint.

The deck is going to be Banjo coffee stir sticks stained and new wooden hand rails.

I got it August 2016 second hand and run it for about two years.

Traded for a very nice Hellen Fishing boat which I still have.

I gave it two coats of filler/primer today and sanded it down.

Just painted the bottom with Red Oxide.

Repainted the bottom for the fourth time and finally happy with it.

Also painted the cabin sides with a dark blue, just to change it up from the light blue.

Next will be the white cabin roofs.

Painting the sides and roof tops in white.

A 25C day today so in the middle on Autumn , I was painting left right and center !!!

Tomorrow maybe totally crap.

The sides of the hull painted white as per the cabin roofs.

Updated the white doors with wood and replaced the cabin floor in coffee stir sticks !!!

Four coats of vanish.

Starting on the deck planking, again ye old Banjo's coffee stir sticks.

Just more planking on the deck and still looking for that new windscreen I made for the boat years ago !!!

Finally found the dam thing whilst looking for timber for the new handrails !!!

All ready to install, just requires a bit for heat to curve the windscreen to make it sit just right.

Finished off the planking ready for vanishing and reshaped the windscreen.

Started on all new windows and new hand rails.

Getting close to the finish, started making a new driver's seat.

New coat of vanish on the boat stand.

Next to install the ESC and radio to fire the beast backup !!!

Different prop on it to when I traded the boat which make it interesting.

Same brushless motor a D3548/4 – 1100kv rated 910Watts on 6S, but, I will run it on 3S.

Seat and driver installed also the radio, battery and ESC.

Got new grease in the prop and rudder shafts.

Connected all the electrics up the right way around the first time !!!

Ready for the relaunch hopefully Saturday???

What's next in the workshop ??

A Pro Boat PT 109 (40&quotwith no props and one very, very seized shaft.

Ordered 3 new bronze 37mm 3 blade props and 3 new shaft kits.

Replacing the heavy 555 brush motors with 35mm 1250kv brushless motors.

Some one turned off the heater only 5C tomorrow !!!

Well Sparky was back to it's best with a good turn of speed from the 35mm 1100kv motor on 3S.

The added pieces to the chine rails on the bow worked well.

Happy to have Sparky back and looking better than ever.

So onto the sardine tin Nordkap .

I think I have fix the leaks and added a stainless steel strip to the keel.

A coat of fiberglass resin inside and out to seal it up.
