If the low voltage cutoff stops the motor, at what sort of level should I set my low voltage alarm to avoid getting stranded? I know some of it is trial and error but a good starting point is what I’m after. Motor leopard 1050kv on 3s lipo. Ta folks

I set mine at 3.4v/cell. Others may differ but any less is, to my mind, stretching it a bit. You will notice a drop off in performance well before you reach even this level, so it's not that critical.

There will be a default setting for everything already programmed into the ESC. I suggest you start with that. The only definite would be to make sure you have forward and reverse with no braking. To explain all of the other variables would take a long time – even if I understood them all myself. Harry Smith seems to have played around with brushless ESC settings more than most – you might have a shufti at some of his postings.
