I recently got my old Mini40 Kwiki down from the attic. Below is a picture of her sailing on the sea at Penzance around 1997 or so.

Managed to find all the bits. Sails not in a great state, but after much tinkering managed to get it on the water on Friday. No wind of course. Anyway, it is great to be able to get the old boat sailing again. And looking forward to going out again

Here is a link to a copy of my old website about the project

Here is another photo. I remember the day the photos were taken. We were at Marazion. A fellow Penzance model boat club member, Tim Grose took this picture by standing waist deep in the sea as the boat shot past. As well as photos,he also made some nice boats including Mini40s' in those days.

How nice to see a cat rather than endless monohulls.

Cant remember seeing a sailing cat in the mag for years??

ALMOST something I might like to have a go at…..

You'd need to add an owl and paint the boat pea green of course…

Not easy to get a cat to handle and perform well via RC. Looks really nice.

                      Hi All,

The Comanche 32 from a few years back sailed pretty well, but is in storage awaiting a repaint as the white turned into cream

Only downside was getting into a medium sized car fully rigged !!

                      Regards Raycom test 1.jpg

                        Another one!

Salem, a renovated and rare Vic Smeed designed Seamew.

Originally constructed as a vane sailer, now radio controlled with new sails incorporating a bowsprit to nudge the jib forward and a third rudder to compensate for the small original rudders.20221204_135109.jpg

Great to see some other multihulls sailing!

They do tend to be quite big boats. Ray, is there any way you could simplify the rigging so you can get the rig on and off fast and easily? Anyway I hope you get her back on the water soon. She looks superb, as does the Seamew.

                          Andy
