      Hi One and All

I am in need of your combined knowledge, Has any one made the Mobile Marine Lady “T”, I have been trying for the last decade+ in fact I have had the hull since May 1998, I have tried time and time again to start, so far I have the rudder – motors and shafts fitted, the deck has been fitted and removed, now on my second deck. I am still not happy with the subframe for the deck so I just may remove what I have done and replace it with a new one.

So if you have made the Boat just how did you fit the rear deck area over the rudder?

Thanking you all for any help you can give

      Fred

I will try and get some done when it stops raining,

I am going to give a flexible profile led strip a go just to see if that works.

Hi Fred, if i remember correctly the rear deck over the rudder has a small hatch to give access to the rudder linkage, i presume thats what you were meaning.

This link is to a build log of the Lady T by a very good builder on mayhem, it shows all the hull timberwork very clearly. I hope I’m posting it correctly.

I forgot to mention, this is an old post and info about motors etc had changed. If you’ve any queries about these ask a new question.

                Hi Charles

                Thank you for the link,

I have been talking to Barry on and off for some time with regards to the lady “T”, my problem is the when I have tried to work out just were to fix the deck supports for the part of the deck that covers the rudder area. the part that I am talking about I have marked, the photo is of Barry’s Lady “T”

                  Hi Fred,

Use a straight edge on the deck beams to project the location and level for the deck support strip round the inside of the stern, I’d use 1/4″x 1/4″ balsa or spruce strip cut half way through to take the bend and epoxy in place.

The deck shape I would establish with a card template to get the right shape before you cut the deck which I’d do in 2 halves  joined on the centre line, I hope that helps ?

                  Regards Ray

                    Morning Ray

Thank you for confirming my idea of using a profile led strip to achieve the deck line, as for the deck this is my second attempt to fit it, in the past fittings the deck has just been dry fitted, but has never looked right, that is why I am remaking a new deck subframe.

                      Hi Fred,

Good to see you back.  Thought you’d migrated to Mayhem.  What happened to your Puffer?

                      Len. 🙂

                        Hi James

Thank you for the welcome back, yes i did go over, but for some reason this forum kept calling me back, let’s say that to me this forum is a bit like a a pair of old slippers, not saying that the other forums are no good.

As to my Puffer she has had her bottom wet a few times, now she is a shelf queen that is why I have restarted the Lady “T” for my project this winter.
