DMI Trawler Kit

Hi all

going through old issues of MB (1966 & 1971 ) I came across an old Humbrol advertisement showing a fine model of a trawler with builders proudly staring at their handiwork and recommending humbrol paints. I think the model is the DMI trawler kit. DMI was associated with Billings in the early days.

Anyway if anyone has one hidden away in some dark corner of the attic or garage and is interested in a sale please let me know.

Hi Martin,

I seem to remember that these were made for Humbrol but I’m not sure who by. It might have been Artesania latina who still do a model that is similar, the Carmen 11.

It might be worth looking at their website to have a look.

The Artesania latina kit is interesting but does not have the look captured in the model I seek. I have been watching ebay for a long time so I hope it will come up one day. Billings also have a couple that are similar. I will wait……
