Liz Milboun has now sent me details of Dave’s funeral plus arrangements set up to make donations in his memory.

The funeral will take place on Monday 12th April at 13:30pm at Gedlington Crematorium. There will be an online webcast which can be accessed from the following link:

You can check the link any time in advance for a test transmission and it is usually advised to log in at least 5 minutes before the ceremony is due to begin.

Liz and the family have asked that, in lieu of flowers, you can donate if you wish, to the Nottinghamshire Hospice or to Cancer Research. An obituary link has been set up which gives the option of either via Just Giving:

                A Lovely service and a wonderful address…………

And Dave, as true to his superb and dry sense of humour, could be the only man to have chosen "Wish you were Here", by Pink Floyd to welcome us all to his service.

God bless you Milbs……..we'll miss you.

Yes, it was and bowing out to 'Take it Easy' by the Eagles too!

                  We will certainly miss him.

That was an excellent service, it did him proud.

Often think about Dave as a friend and the loss to the hobby. Really sad and much missed.

He asked for this track to be played at his funeral.

Great loss of Glenn Frey from the Eagles too but enjoy the recording.

He was a wise old fox, who taught me in our personal chats about life and things in general that there was a time to speak out, and a time to keep shtumm,………..

It helped me com,e to terms with those i was less torrerant with.

he always gave good advice in his dry humerous way.

                            hi Colin,

Dave is such a sad miss; he was one of the genuine ones.

Just a quick query – when the Forum changes over – will we lose all our old personal messages. I have a lot from Dave which I would like to keep.

If they are going to go, I can copy and paste them onto a word document before the change over.

                            John

                              John,

I don't know for certain but I think they will not come over so I would advise you to copy and paste what you want in the next day or so.

Most of my contact wih Dave was by email.

The new forum should have its own PM facility.
