Aerokits Fast Patrol Launch.

I have ‘found’ an almost complete kit for an Aerokits Fast Patrol Launch – still in the box which is clearly marked 31/6. Can anyone put a date on this, I would judge it to be mid 50’s – am I correct ??.

Hi John, I think it is from about 1964, it was advertised in Feb 1965 at 32/7, or one pound twelve shillings and seven pence , that’s about £1.52 for our younger readers.

Great little model, post some pictures as you go, we would love to see them.

One of the first boats I ever built but I think it was a bit earlier than 1964. I originally put an ED Seagull diesel in it but only got the engine started once when it distributed the contents of the sink all over the kitchen! I eventually fitted a Kako electric motor powered by a dry battery but performance wasn’t terribly exciting to put it mildly.
