Hi. As well as my schnellboot i'm also in posession of a glass fibre hulled 49" perkasa. The kit is unstarted but no instructions are present.

would anyone have a copy of the instructions / parts lists ?

it's possible that some of the parts may not be present and i'll need to check off whats there though everything is in the sealed bags.

by the way i just had a look at your pictures. some very nice work there. where did you get the alloy prop mounts ? or did you make them ?

Thanks Rob , I machined them out of billet ali same with the motor mount . When i started the build i found that the hull had a really bad twist in it that took some getting correct . I really hope you do not have the same issue.

Yeah I'm aware of issues with the hulls. Lets hope its ok. The kit was cheap if all is good.

dont suppose you made spares of those alloy bits ?

Ha Ha sorry mate no , The prop supports were a swine to machine , but maybe could make you a triple motor mount.

that would be ideal.

I'd like to get it all looked over when i have the plans. If its worth progressing I'll be back you you on the mount.

what set up did you use with motors, props, shafts etc ? do you have blog on here for your build ?

This is my first model boat so there is no blog , When it came to the motors & props ect i was not a menber of this forum and was ill advised by a local model shop . Once i became a forum member it soon became apparent the motors and bats i bought were no good. I have ended up using 2 550 fan cooled motors on the outside props and a brushless motor in the center ( This will be used just when i want some not scale speed fun) .The props are 3X 35mm and bats are Nimh,s for the 2 550 motors and Lipo for the brushless . The model is 95% finished now and i will put some up to date photos in my gallery for you to see . I have to say without the help in the early days of the fine body of men on this forum i would have been screwed

Hi Rob

What brushless motor and is the props 2 or 3 blade 35mm?

I run my 25 inch Sea Hornet(1900kv motor) on a 32mm 3 blade(3S battery).

The motor ran to warm so I am going 2 blade 30mm.

Hi Rob, I have a set of plans and the instruction manual you are welcome to. There are also some fotos Of my finished perkasa 48" in my albums folder If you want to take a look. As I changed the stern gun I have a scratch built one spare if you want it. All I want is a contribution towards postage. Anyway let me know. good luck with the build, as you will see from my fotos I added stacks of detail as the kit is very basic. cheers keith

Hi cookieold, Not sure if it helps but I have about 10 fotos in my album of 1 i finished a few years ago. I used the basic build as per plans but threw many parts out and tried to do a scale version.There are many more detail fotos i have if you would like to see them. not sure if you got the plans but i have some yer somewhere. hope the album fotos help.
