        Hi All,

Just spotted and bought issue 1 of Build a Crane Meccano in our newsagents, all sorts of goodies, wheels spindles bevelled gears collets nuts Allen screws plates & brackets, these are great value as a lost leader, no doubt the completeCrane will be serialised over the next many years at massive cost, but this first issue great value

May have to consider a paddle tug with the gears !!

        Regards Ray

Yes, great plan and article Ray. You have really captured this classic design well and it looks superb on the water. I think we'd all like a real one….

                  Hi Ray,

Really enjoyed your article and the model, brings back memories of hiring them from Woods at Potter Higham, what a laugh. Loved the cutaway view, a bit of wizardry by the MB artists there I suppose.

Most famous quote from me, the drunken skipper to my Bro-in-law "Where's this bridge we can't go under!!!" BANG!

                  Nice one.

                  Ron Rees.

I'm on record as having navigated that bridge from both directions in a four-berth cruiser while completely un-sober – without touching the sides on either occasion! I was actually applauded from the bridge during the second episode. I think I still have one or two Brownie points left over from the event.

Yep – a really nice model, article and plan. May I approach your photographer if I need his services? wink

                      Thanks Ron & Dave

The photographer and I spent a couple of hours this afternoon at a lake somewhere in southern England on the first sunny day down here for a month, watch this space or Facebook

Yes the cutaway view is great for people whose second language isn't reading drawings

                      Regards Ray

They could well be related, 50p from a charity shop in Canterbury maybe a Doctor Who figure ?

                          Regards Ray
