When Hitec told me that their drum servo HS 785-HB makes 3 1/2 turns but it depends on the Tr/Rx, my mind was curious. They key is to know how the signal from the Rx drives the servo.
Hitec’s published data is confusing. They say all their servos work from 0.6 to 2.4mS pulse but their data sheets say 1.1 to 1.9mS
My two Servo Drivers show how misleading they are. HS 785-HB can actually rotate 9 times. At the exteremes of the signal pulse it rotates continuously.
All the arm servos tested showed none of the Tx/Rx systems used the full angle of rotation. My next area to explore is the use of servo stretches.
