Does anyone know where I could obtain a plan of an Island class Patrol Boat of the US Coast Guard, or does anyone do a kit of one.

Hi Malcolm

Colin is right about there being no kits of this ship, the only version that I can find is a ready to run 28in model on amazon.

It would be nice to build this from plans and good luck with your project and I hope that, in time, you will post some build photos.

i got one in america last year it was the rtr model 28in long ,took everything out and fitted brass rudders speed controller receiver servo and put in 7.2 battery andit sails a lot .better, some photos of her in my photo album.

I have now obtained the plans for an Island Class US Coastguard Cutter from davesdockyard in America. They seem to be copies of the builders plans.
Thanks to Hugh Connolly for the four pictures he put on the site. If anyone else has photos of a one of these vessels, I would appreciate them.
