          Hi Clive,

Maybe a photo of the complete boat may bring an answer to your questions ??

          Regards Ray

            Hi Clive

Years ago, I think the "Annual Model Engineer Exhibition" used to be held at Wembley (back when we used to have 'tool-making' apprenticeships ) – all 3 halls full in it's heyday…

So, it could be that your model is a 'one-off' made by a model engineer ?

As Ray says, some more photos (and /or, dimensions) would help.

I'm new to model yachts, although I have sailed full-size, but, there are plenty of experts here who may be able to help further.

            Regards,

            Dave

              Hi All,

Yes I think Dave's on the right track, the old ME Shows at Wembley & Olyimpia were one of years highlights

Maybe a membership number or sail number ??

From a time when folk made their own decals/transfers.

It looks too old to be a IOM yacht, could be wrong how long is it ??

              Regards Ray

Many thanks to all your replies regarding this Boat , I have also had a reply from Nylet Sails , Frank Parsons who has lots of knowledge of this boat giving me this information "Golly, that is a real blast from the past, we dealt with Wally Kilmister, a model shop in Wembley, back in the 70s and 80s. The shop was managed by Ted Carfrae and his wife Joan and they lived above the shop, they were super people and a delight to deal with and knew my father (he died in 1981) and the kettle would be put on when they called in. They must have retired around 1985 or so at a guess, the shop may have closed a bit later but I'm not sure."

I had no idea that this boat could be about 40yrs old.

Many Thanks to all who replied

                Regards Clive
