In case you didn’t catch The Warship last night I would recommend it as an interesting watch. Good to see an insight into life on board a modern capital ship and get a feel for the attitudes of some of the crew. Even the young lady who admitted she didn’t agree with war!

Well worth watching on BBC catch up if you have a spare hour.

Can’t say I blame her! The purpose of the RN is to discourage war. not go looking for it so she should fit in OK!

The worrying bit was when she followed it up with “I don’t know what I’m doing here”. Generally the attitude seemed to be that of the ship being a deterrent, which I found very positive.

I’m pretty sure this is a new series. The last one I saw was all about preparation and trials, this one is actually about a deployment.

No, it’s a rerun. I watched 5 mins and recognised the crew. I remember they had covid on board.

According to the IMDB it was first shown at the beginning of 20223. Sorry, it was new to me! Covid is the next episode.

What they want to make is a “warship” program on the River B2 OPVs which are flung out across the globe, as a recruiting thing…featuring the one/s in the tropics ( but not the one stationed in the Falklands)
