Zipp Kit pusher tug

anyone ever purchased one of the zipp kit pusher tugs? i'm trying to order but it won't give me shipping options, can't seem to get any response from Zipp kit.

failing that has anyone got any ideas of where i might get one of the little pusher tugs from, don't mind second hand or a project or even just a hull

As Zipp Kits is an american company my guess is that by the time you have paid carriage and VAT the price will not look so reasonable and there will be a long delay even if they are willing to ship to the UK.

The Zipp pusher tug is just a Springer tug regading which there is pretty well unlimited information and free plans. You could try building one from scratch.

This thread will tell you a whole lot and includes the plans at post #4.

With Chris on this. A springer has to be one of the easiest hulls to build.

YouTube has an excellent time lapse video about building one, they are probably the simplest build possible. Great fun to sail too. Just enter Springer the build into YouTube and you'll find it.

If it is the video that I have seen it is not how I would build one.

do Graupner still sell the full kit for a springer. remember seeing them for sale a few years ago.

Aeo-naut sell the Ramborator which is a Springer. I don't remember a Graupner version.

Yeh my mistake Chris……..thought it was Graupner till i found that one on ebay.
