We had no problem, Paul……It sailed down!

      The wheels were excellent

Very sorry to hear that you can`t make it this year, afterall

Home and loved ones, must come first though

        Bob. Excellent interior shots indeed.

If you are leaving the rear wheels on can I suggest you paint them (tyres and all) with a darkish grey to hide them underwater..not black….mid to dark grey.

It looks very nice but very white. Is there going to be any more paint put on ? I cant help thinking that just possibly the fore-deck could be a different colour..non-slip green or whatever (personal taste remark here)

Is that the pilot you are holding ??

          Hello Ashley

I actually replied to your post, from Ellesmere Port show, but the WiFi was so feeble, it couldn`t even get out the door!

The decks will be painted a buff colour with ink planking lines, which should improve the all white appearance

Didn`t get to putting the model on general display, as we were parked too far out from the show in the field area.

Managed a demo to Mike Farrell though, who was suitably impressed by the model size and liked the motor runs …..No sign of Dave Curlie

Sadly, we missed seeing Paul on this important occasion, as he was otherwise detained

It was a great show, helped by the sunny weather

          Pictures to follow

Bob. You are a whizz with the old photoshop!!

Buff and ink will look really nice. When I painted the deck on my Titanic, I did a bit of surfing and its suporising the different views on what constituted the right colour for a new wood deck. I eventually used a `ligfht stone` shade (I think it was) as being the consensus of opinion that this was the best colour for a deck at that scale. I will not be commenting on your choice of buff as I know its very difficult,….and in any case you are not building a particular boat and can paint it any colour you want.

Too far away..?? and you put wheels on it !!!! (need bigger wheels)

                    Thats a right whopper that T45 destroyer….wow.

Now then Ashley photos do lie.Duckie photographed Bob Elaine and me then Bob shot the scene again and the wizzard of photo shop put us all together . Lady Jane is an impressive build doing more justice when seen in the raw.

In real life the wheels are are not so conspicious but maybe a lick of paint may not go amiss?

Must build some of those Abell motors ,maybe a better way of putting more power through larger props and looks impressive

The show was well presented with some beautiful models .Elaine was impressed by the little tugs pushing monster models into the locks .Food well prepared with good choise .Will go againwinkMichael

You mention about photos telling lies……..Here`s further proof that we can`t trust photos!

We had a great day at Elesmere, Lady Joyce looks better in the flesh than the photos, will be a special day when she has her official launch. (real wet paint)

Having painted the deck a pinky, buff, straw, woody colour, I find that the super duper pen with 0.8mm wide line, fade and waterproof ink isn`t dry after 12 hours!

                                    So now comes plan B….

Strips of Fablon, width, not yet finalised, to be stuck on the deck and generously varnished

I rather like the idea!……..It suits the style of the Vintage Cruiser?

But it's easier said than done, due to the tapered shape, but we'll have a go
